Photos for Katie

November 26, 2014  •  Leave a Comment

Hello Everyone, and Thank you so much for signing up for this fundraiser!! This fundraiser has such special meaning and I have been overwhelmed with the amount of support from our community. Katie is so very loved and it has been amazing scheduling everyone and hearing from them how they know and love Katie.

Because we have so many people coming out on Sunday, I wanted to put all the information in one location so it is easy to access. PLEASE READ THROUGH ALL THE INFORMATION in preparation for your session on Sunday. This should answer all questions, but if there are any others feel free to call or email me:  ph: 208.818.5944

The sessions will be held this Sunday November 30th at 6120 N 15th Street Coeur d'Alene ID

This is a beautiful property by Canfield Mountain with the look and feel of a Christmas Tree farm. (This is not actually a Christmas Tree Farm, so please do not plan to get your family tree while at your session) :-)

Coming from Spokane

Take I-90 East to Coeur d'Alene. Take the 15th Street Exit. Take a left off the exit and head north. The location will be on your right just past Canfield Middle School. If you get to Hanley, you have gone just a little too far. We will have signs out on the street so you won't be able to miss us.

If you are one of the few Studio sessions, you will receive address and directions in your email.

We have 6 amazing Photographers volunteering their time and talents on Sunday. Crystal Madsen Photography, Tori Anderson Photography, Jennifer Haas Photography, Bluebird of Happiness Photography, Lisa Wise Photography, and we just added the amazing Laura Fifield Photography. We cannot guarantee which one your session will be with, but they all do such quality work that I know you will be thrilled with whoever you get! Please be kind and thankful to them. They will be working hard all day in the cold temperatures and working additional days to edit and return your images to you in a timely fashion.

Please check in with Midge at Registration. She will be taking payments and direct you to your photographer. Please also make sure that she has your correct email address on file.

Please make your checks payable to The Windermere Foundation, and write "Katie" anywhere on the check. Katie has worked for Windermere for 15 years and they are allowing us to run the payments through Windermere's non profit foundation so that Katie's donations will not be taxed.

Sessions are a $100 donation. 20 minute session and includes 5 digital images. All Proceeds will go directly to Katie to help with her medical bills.

We have also added the option to double your donation and receive 3 additional images PLUS be entered to win a 16X20 gallery wrap. Please consider doubling your donation, this will not only help us meet our financial goal we would like to raise for Katie, but you will also have a pretty good chance of winning. There will be snacks and hot cocoa available. Donation is not required, but their will be a donation jar available for snack options.

Please remember that the owners have allowed us to use their property so lets all be respectful of their beautiful land and trees.

Please be on Time for your session. We have close to 50 families coming out on sunday, which means in order for everyone to get through all the sessions we need to stay on schedule. You should have received an email and or Facebook message confirming your time. If you did not, please contact to confirm.

Please dress warm!! The weather forecast is calling for 20 degree weather. Please dress yourself and your family accordingly. Because we have close to 50 families coming out, I will not have time to answer everyone's questions about wardrobe choices to fit your style, but if you need help on styling and dressing your family for photos, here is a blog post you can check out with some wonderful hints on what to wear:

We have amazing furniture rentals and props that have been donated to us from the Attic. These are beautiful vintage pieces and quite costly so please take care and be respectful. We want to return them to the Attic in the same beautiful condition they arrived in. That mostly means please keep your feet off the settees and chairs, especially if they are muddy and watch small children around them.

Volunteers: We are still in need of a few volunteers to help. If you would like to help please email me at:

Most of All I want to thank each and everyone one of you for participating!! If you know Katie, then you already know how incredible she is! We want to help as much as we can, however we can. Helping financially is a huge way that we can support Katie. I know that Katie has a very large deductible to meet, one that she will also have to pay again come January. With her treatment she will not be able to work, and Katie is a single mom. Lets set our goal high and meet it! Lets do our best to try to cover as much of that deductible as possible, so that Katie can focus on her family and her treatment. So please give generously. If you are able to do more than the asked donation, please do.
